Playing Hearthstone on Linux
Today’s tutorial will be on how to install and play the popular Blizzard Online Card Game, Hearthstone, on Linux.
Yes, it is entirely possible and not really that difficult to get started.
Ready?
Lets go.
Install PlayOnLinux
I’m on Ubuntu upstream, so the simplest way for me is to:
wget -q "http://deb.playonlinux.com/public.gpg" -O- | sudo apt-key add -
sudo wget http://deb.playonlinux.com/playonlinux_trusty.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux
If you’re on other distributions, don’t worry, the other ways are all well-documented here.
Install Hearthstone
Load up your PlayOnLinux, click on install and search for Hearthstone.
Hit install and follow through the installation process. Install everything that PlayOnLinux prompts you.
Once that’s done, login to battle.net and you’re done!
