The newly form Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC) recently released their first iPhone app called ‘eLink@AHTC’, which provides a new platform for residents living in their jurisdiction to send in municipal feedback from the comfort of their iPhone.
The app is really quite simple. It only has three sections. One, the feedback section, a contact information section and a little tool to find out who is the MP in charge of your area.
When you first log onto the app, you’ll be welcomed by this screen. Very simple, and you would in an instant know what exactly to expect. Here you’ll find a list of photos and cases taken from the app that were submitted by residents of the constituency.
By clicking on the ‘Submit’ button, you’ll be greeted by the page above which allows you to type in details of the nature of the feedback as well as leave a photo in which AHTC officers would be able to reference to follow up.
Other than the municipal features mentioned at the start of this article, you can also find out who is the MP of your area and when is their Meet-the-People Session (MPS) conducted.
Overall, its a pretty simple app. Nothing really fancy but yet its extremely useful for the tech savvy residents who want to raise issues from the comfort of their iPhone.
You can download the app via the iTunes store. Make a search for ‘eLink’, ‘aljunied’ and/or ‘hougang’ and you should find this at the top of the search result list.
