With so much attention lately in what’s happening in Libya, we tend to forget that there’s still fighting ongoing in Afghanistan. With so much news relating to the conflict in Afghanistan, featuring mostly United States soldiers and troops, one would not be blamed if they didn’t realize that there are many other countries whose forces also contributes to the rebuilding of the war-torn country. Singapore is one of them.
Singapore’s Ministry of Defence recently released a 6-part youtube mini-series documenting Singapore’s operations as part of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) which I’m reposting in this post for easier viewing. It’s good to see that our small island is able to contribute in the international community aside from economically.
For my foreign friends, it might give you a glimpse about how Singapore’s army operates in a war zone. To fellow Singaporeans still serving in Afghanistan, stay safe and come home soon.
